Position Summary:
The Senior Director of Marketing will lead the marketing plan development and execution of BBU’s Brand’s business. The candidate will create the strategies for the Brand, position and market the brand, create an innovation pipeline for the brand, and manage key initiatives.
The candidate must socialize brand strategies throughout the commercial organization, including our Field and Customer Sales teams and our supporting organizations, including Revenue Growth Management, DSD Excellence, and Shopper Marketing. The candidate will work collaboratively with these groups to ensure the most impactful commercial business plans for the brand’s business.
The candidate must work collaboratively with our Operational Groups, including Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure the execution of strategies and initiatives important to the Entenmann’s business.
The candidate will collaborate with R&D, Technical Services, our plants and co-packing partners, to refine existing product offers and develop new products for launch in the market.
The candidate will own the P&L for the Brand’s business and will create business plans in conjunction with our Finance teams. That plan will be reviewed, analyzed, and refined on an on-going basis, in conjunction with those Finance teams.
The candidate must provide project management, strategic planning, and implementation support for key initiatives. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate completion of multiple projects/strategic initiatives occurring simultaneously. Strengths in product conceptualization, creative problem solving and personnel talents and technology to implement solutions.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute brand planning and marketing mix elements for the Brand.
Proactively scan the marketplace and industry for areas of competitive improvement such as: packaging innovation, health trends and excellence in operational execution.
Gather, analyze, and synthesize market insights and data to develop and refine a strategic vision for the brand.
Assess global new products and assess value / potential for U.S. expansion, including products made throughout the Grupo Bimbo organization.
Own, create, and advance an innovation pipeline, encompassing products, packaging, and positioning. Lead commercialization efforts. Track in-market programs of recent new item launches. Manage and maintain end-of-life cadence for items within the portfolio.
Lead work streams and collaborates with Business Units and Group functions.Deliverables include business models, financial analysis, internal synthesis & communication documents, etc.
Lead brand management team through critical thinking, strategic decision making, and personal growth development.

Education and Work History:
Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA Preferred.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in related field (CPG, FMCG, Baking, Brand Management, Innovation, Food Manufacturing) or 15 years of combined experience between a related field and relevant education.
Experience managing multiple direct reports.
Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams to results. Experience in a matrix corporate environment a plus.
Project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, adjust priorities as needed, and meet deadlines.
Technical experience a plus (e.g. R&D and/or product development).
Strong work ethic, flexibility and ability to multi-task required in fast-paced DSD fresh bakery category.
Ability to influence across the organization at multiple levels.
Excellent written, oral, and formal communication skills.
