Recipe: One Exceptional RN Program Lead
Yields: Safer, more dignified care for individuals with IDD across CLA, CRS, and NASH programs Prep time: One application | Cook time: Full-time, exempt, with flexible scheduling
Ingredients
Essential:
1 active Connecticut RN license
A generous portion of experience with IDD services, medically fragile individuals, long-term care, or community health
2–3 cups supervisory or team leadership experience
A hearty measure of clinical judgment, seasoned with strong communication and documentation skills
1 valid Connecticut driver's license
Willingness to travel occasionally to Stratford and Waterbury (fresh, locally sourced)
For extra flavor (preferred):
5+ years of nursing experience
Experience supervising LPNs, Health Specialists, or CNAs
A dash of QIDP qualifications (or the ability to develop them)
1 BSN or related degree
Familiarity with DDS, DPH, and community-based service regulations
Instructions
Combine clinical leadership with a dedicated team of LPNs and Health Specialists. Coach, train, and support until the team rises.
Fold in regular reviews of Health Care Plans, Risk Plans, and Individual Plans.
When emergencies or changes in condition arise, respond with steady hands and sound RN judgment.
Stir in medication systems, infection control, audits, and emergency preparedness — do not skip these steps.
Blend with families, guardians, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams until communication is smooth.
Garnish with occasional travel to our residential homes in Stratford and Waterbury.
