Soyars & Morgan Law is boutique law firm in downtown San Antonio, that guides our clients through complex family law matters such as divorce and child custody litigation as well as criminal defense and DWI defense.
We're seeking a licensed attorney for our family law division, with a successful background in litigation and trials, to advocate for our family law clients. The ideal candidate will have some experience in family law and working knowledge of the Texas Family Code. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable in the court room and not shy away from litigation or fierce advocacy.
This is a full-time role, Monday - Friday, during standard business hours.
Essential duties include advising clients on legal matter related to family law, drafting legal documents such as motions, representing clients in court hearings, and managing cases with professionalism and diligence.
In Person Position- San Antonio, Texas- Downtown Office
Competitive Pay: $80,000-$120,000 (dependent on experience in family law litigation)

Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)
Admission to the Texas Bar and in good standing
Evidence of current Texas Driver’s License and automobile insurance
Minimum of 0-1 year of experience handling family law cases and litigation in the state of Texas
At least some experience with routine casework and litigation including contested court hearings/trials, mediations, drafting and filing pleadings, drafting and responding to discovery, drafting orders, court appearances, and client services.
Ability to interpret laws for clients and help them to understand their legal options
Ability and desire to run your own docket
Accurately track and bill a minimum of 130 hours per month
Ability to travel to Bexar County courthouse and surrounding counties for court hearings (Medina, Comal, Bandera, Kendall, Guadalupe)
Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize, multi-task, manage time, problem solve, produce results, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
