Position Summary:
Bimbo Bakeries USA (BBU) is transforming to accelerate brand growth. As part of the Marketing Center of Excellence (MCOE) group reporting to the Director of Consumer Insights (CI), Transformation, the Associate Consumer Insights will contribute to building a consumer obsession culture at BBU. The focus will be Innovation pipeline 3+ years out, cross-and portfolio transformation, leaning into advancements of AI-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
CI for Advanced Innovation, experienced insights innovation professional who has experience employing the appropriate custom research projects for assessing new innovation ideas. Must have the people skills to explain findings, insights, and learnings to marketing partners. Experience managing many projects concurrently for smooth and timely delivery.
CI Transformation: Embrace changing CI ways of working given the acceleration of AI tools. Enthusiastically use new AI-assisted insights tools, automation, and advanced analytics to improve insight speed and quality. Support adoption of new CI processes, tools, and AI-enabled methods through training and enablement materials.
Operating Model, Governance & AI Stewardship
Implement frameworks for intake, prioritization, governance, and insight quality.
Beyond project management, conduct accuracy checks of results.
Ability to drive alignment with partners prior to launching research as well as to the results for decision making.
Passion for Insights, empathy for consumers and what they need and want (spoken or not) with the ability to help build plans to deliver. Proven track record of custom research management and insightful thinking for innovation, particularly further out innovation.
Coordinate innovation learning agendas across portfolios with assistance from reporting manager
Strong interpersonal skills and a heart for building effective working relationships with other BBU associates and partners.
Curious, adaptive, future focused, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Experience with data sources to incorporate into evidence-based innovation recommendations and plans (custom quant tabs, syndicated data systems, etc.).

Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Education and Work History:
Bachelor’s degree in business, psychology, social studies, anthropology, or similar, Data & Analytics, Information Systems, Strategy, or related fields.
At least three years of experience showing progress in their skills, knowledge, and accomplishments in an insights function or role, with increasing focus on innovation insights solutions.
Some experience of using AI tools.
A self-starter able to follow structured processes and timelines with little supervision.
Ability to work effectively and positively with teams.
Positive, curious, creative and innovative thinker with the ability to energize, influence, and work effectively.
Self-starter with proven ability to manage complexity and problem-solve.
Computer skills and proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and other software/applications.
Domestic Travel: 10-20%
