Across 46 states, our Americas Materials business in the US is vertically integrated and resource-backed to support the manufacture and supply of aggregates, asphalt, cement, readymixed concrete, paving and construction services. These materials are used extensively in a wide range of construction applications from major public road and infrastructure projects, to the development or refurbishment of commercial buildings and private residential communities.

Company History
CRH was formed through a merger in 1970 of two leading Irish public companies, Cement Limited (established 1936) and Roadstone Limited (established 1949).
From humble beginnings in 1970 to being a global leader today, we take great pride in leading globally while delivering locally, in our many markets and communities worldwide.
We strive to bring the benefits of our broad product range, our technical expertise and our extensive geographic footprint into play for the benefit of all our stakeholders, while maintaining the personal touch of a local supplier and partner.

DJSI
We performed strongly against our peers in the 2020 assessment, maintaining our place in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index.
S&P Global – The 2020 Sustainability yearbook
Since 2004, The Sustainability Yearbook has listed the world’s most sustainable companies in each industry as determined by their score in the S&P Global Annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).
CDP
CDP, formerly Carbon Disclosure Project, collates data on carbon emissions and carbon management on behalf of named institutional investors and rates companies for disclosure and performance.
We have participated in the CDP since 2003 and our 2020 CDP Climate questionnaire was awarded a score of A minus.
FTSE4Good
The FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices.
We continue to be included in the FTSE4Good Index.
