Jacobs is seeking Construction Management Interns to join our Project Management/ Construction Management (PMCM) teams in locations across the U.S. working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and be involved in a variety of construction management tasks for our clients. Jacobs' Program Management and Construction Management (PMCM) team ensures successful project delivery by offering comprehensive services such as program planning, design management, construction management, risk management, and facility commissioning. They also provide tailored specialty services like performance management, safety plan development, logistics planning, and stakeholder coordination to meet client-specific needs.
As a Construction Management Intern your role will include: reviewing RFIs and Submittals attending weekly project meetings and taking meeting minutes creating project schedules creating, and reviewing estimates and contractor proposals ensuring that schedule and budget are maintained within acceptable parameters Assist in the day-to-day management of construction projects Support the development and maintenance of project schedules Help coordinate activities between contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers Participate in site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and specifications Assist in monitoring project budgets and tracking expenses Contribute to the preparation of progress reports and project documentation Help manage and update project-related documents and drawings Attend and contribute to project meetings with team members and clients Assist in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies Support the implementation of safety protocols and procedures on-site Help coordinate material deliveries and manage on-site inventory
This position demands a results-driven, client-focused professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a strong work ethic. Requirements
Preferred Qualifications: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management or related degree Previous construction management experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel Previousexperience working in a corporate engineering environment Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits or client meetings
