Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field
FSA designation from the Society of Actuaries, or Career ASA (with 8-10 years of experience)
Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Life Insurance sector in the areas of Modeling, Pricing, Valuation, or Capital Management
Proficiency with actuarial projection systems (e.g., MG-ALFA, PolySystems, GGY-AXIS) and strong Excel/Databricks skills
Ability to interpret complex financial models, reconcile results, and explain key drivers to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with a wide range of actuarial models, including liability projections, asset modeling, and capital models. Assess modeling assumptions, methodologies, and controls for appropriateness and reliability
Knowledge of GAAP and Statutory regulations for Life and Annuity products with a preference for indexed products and reinsurance concepts.
Comprehensive understanding of actuarial valuation requirements and techniques
Proven analytical prowess and problem-solving capabilities
Comprehensive understanding of actuarial governance and control frameworks
Demonstrated collaborative spirit and organizational synergy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 4 days in office weekly at our Montpelier, VT or Addison, TX campus locations
