We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Obstetrics Nurse to join our client's healthcare team in Cortez, CO. This is a full-time, on-site position, offering a competitive hourly pay rate of $30.46 - $48.74 per hour. Great benefits include:

DAY-TO-DAY
The Obstetrics Nurse is skilled and committed to providing high-quality patient-centered care. In addition to providing direct patient care, they also act as a resource for less experienced staff, supervising non-professional staff in the delivery of care to assigned patients. He/She assists physicians in the care of patients, making rounds, assisting with procedures, and providing progress reports. They're also responsible for medication administration and narcotics control, following proper procedures, and utilizing electronic medication administration records (EMAR). It is essential to have a knowledge of basic arrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, he or she participates in departmental meetings, in-service programs, and other educational opportunities to continuously update their knowledge and skills. They may participate in peer and staff evaluations, data collection, and chart reviews as requested. With strong critical thinking skills, they are responsible for initiating a patient plan of care on admission and revising it as needed based on patient care standards and co-morbidities. Timely and accurate documentation of nursing care is a critical component of this role, and the nurse utilizes technology to document, evaluate, and manage patient outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
- RN (or BSN) license in Colorado or a compact license
- Ability to work onsite in Cortez, CO within the schedule needed (schedule to be determined)
- 3+ years of experience in the labor and delivery/OB space
- Ability to practice within the nursing standards of practice and follow SHS policies and procedures, patient bill of rights, and accreditation standards
- Clinical competence to care for patients, knowledge about disease processes, and the ability to identify symptoms or complications
- Ability to utilize information technologies to meet patient needs and provide evidence-based knowledge at the point of care to improve health outcomes
