General Anesthesiology Faculty – All UTMB Campuses:
The UTMB Department of Anesthesiology is seeking highly motivated Anesthesiologists interested in providing clinical anesthesia care and the mentoring/teaching
of residents. This will include, but is not limited to, providing clinical oversight to patients primarily at the Galveston Campus. You will be providing services to the operating room suites, endoscopy, radiology, cardiology, and obstetrics. You will be demonstrating leadership skills in achieving improved outcomes for all patients/families and demonstrating principles of services in patient/family and staff interactions. As an anesthesia faculty member, you will also need to attend departmental staff meetings, participate in the quality improvement process of the department, and participate in medical school and MSRDP committees of your choice. You will also actively participate in resident teaching by giving didactic lectures, providing individual instruction to the residents under your daily supervision.The mentoring of residents and participation in the ACGME approved evaluation process for each resident is also required.
Educational Experience and Requirements
M.D. or D.O degree and a U.S. Anesthesia Residency.
U.S. Board Certification.
Valid State of Texas medical license.
U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
ACLS Certification and up-to-date knowledge and specialty certification through the MOCA program.

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with Academic rank, experience, and qualifications.Anesthesia faculty can also earn quality and group incentives, late room/additional call pay, retention incremental pay, and development funds.UTMB offers $0 contribution health insurance plans for individual subscribers and very attractive PTO packages.
