Mammography Technologist (PRN - Days May Vary)

About the Role

Join the dedicated Breast Imaging team at Baylor Scott & White Round Rock Cancer Center, where compassion and advanced technology come together to make a difference. As a PRN Mammography Technologist, you'll perform screening and diagnostic mammography, breast imaging, and biopsy procedures that support early detection and improve patient outcomes.

This position offers flexible day shifts in a collaborative and patient-centered cancer center environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform high-quality 2D and 3D mammography and diagnostic breast imaging procedures following established protocols and standards.
• Use AIDET communication principles to provide excellent patient interaction and reduce anxiety during exams.
• Assist radiologists with stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and needle localizations.
• Maintain equipment performance, cleanliness, and compliance with radiation safety and infection-control guidelines.
• Complete accurate documentation, imaging records, and quality control reports within the imaging system.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure quality, accuracy, and safety

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Experience: Two (2) years of mammography or breast imaging experience preferred
• License/Certification:
  
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) - Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R and ARRT-M) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)
