Job DescriptionWe offer a dynamic internship opportunity in the field of accounting and finance, designed to provide hands-on experience across two critical functions: Payroll and Accounts Receivable. This role supports both teams on a variety of projects and daily operations, giving interns a unique chance to gain exposure to multiple areas within our Finance organization. Interns will collaborate with professionals across departments, develop a deeper understanding of financial processes, and contribute to initiatives that impact the company's financial health and employee experience.
Responsibilities :
Payroll
- Under general supervision perform payroll calculation and processing activities to ensure employees are paid timely and accurately
- Perform and/or assist in the completion of ad-hoc general payroll responsibilities such as creation and publishing of a pay calendar, participation in government surveys, and completion of tax processing, amendments, and remittances
- Support all Payroll responsibilities required for period close, including reconciliations, and determine accrual adjustments as required
- Assist with documentation of procedures and controls
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis as assigned
- All Interns will participate in pre-planned intern events such as Senior Leader Meetings, Goal Setting, Team Building Tour and Final Presentations
Accounts Receivable
- Review customer financial statements to establish credit.
- Assist with customer data management.
- Assist with credit policies
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate major in Accounting, Business or Finance.
- preference: candidate completed three years of undergraduate studies
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Proficiency with personal computers and associated word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software
- Excellent communication skills required (both verbal and written)
Competencies:
- Understanding of basic accounting and finance, analytical skills, excel skills and attention to detail
- Initiative and results oriented
- Ability to build productive relationships
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
- Primary work environment is professional corporate office
- Ability to travel commercially to domestic and international locations
The salary range for this role is:
$18.00- $29.50 an hour
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational
