Job DescriptionWhat We Do
YM Careers Network partners with professional associations to help employers hire highly specialized talent-especially in the healthcare vertical including physicians, nurses, radiologists, cardiologists, veterinarians, and other credentialed professionals.
Career Center Sales Representatives provide employers with direct access to niche association job boards, enabling them to reach highly qualified, credentialed candidates that general job boards do not deliver. Career Center Reps sell job postings and subscriptions on association job boards and help employers attract the right audience through targeted recruitment advertising.
Role Overview
The Career Center Sales Representative is responsible for converting inbound leads, prospecting new employers, and driving repeat purchases of job postings and subscription products on a single association job board.
This is a fast-paced, high-activity sales role focused on:
• Responding quickly to inbound inquiries
• Hunting for new business, primarily in the healthcare vertical, and other niche verticals
• Selling job postings, subscriptions, and basic upgrades
• Managing employer accounts and renewals
• Referring larger multi-board or multi-product opportunities to Account Executives/Account Managers
• Meeting and exceeding daily KPI's (Calls, Meetings and Bookings)
• Meeting monthly and quarterly sales goals
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Lead Management
• Respond rapidly to employer inquiries.
• Conduct basic discovery and recommend suitable job posting packages.
• Close inbound orders efficiently and professionally.
• Communicate the value of niche association job boards.
Outbound Prospecting & New Business
• Prospect employers using phone, email, and LinkedIn.
• Build and maintain an active pipeline.
• Follow structured outreach cadences.
• Achieve new business and activity expectations.
Account Management & Repeat Sales
• Support a recurring customer base for association job boards.
• Encourage repeat job postings and subscription renewals.
• Promote simple upgrades (featured postings, exposure boosts).
• Refer multi-board or advanced opportunities to Account Executives or Account Managers.
Consultative Selling
• Provide employers with best practices for maximizing job visibility.
• Share insights on audience fit and hiring approaches.
• Build trust as a helpful recruitment advertising resource
Operational Excellence
• Maintain accurate Salesforce/Gong notes, activities, and forecasts.
• Use Gong recordings for skill development and self-coaching.
• Follow daily/weekly sales cadencies and productivity standards.
• Collaborate closely with Account Executives for handoffs.
Success Indicators
• Fast, professional inbound response times
• Consistent outbound activity and pipeline growth
• High conversion rates for job postings and subscriptions
• Accurate Salesforce updates and forecasting
• Timely referrals of multi-board opportunities
• Achievement of monthly sales goals
Required Qualifications
• 1-2 years sales experience in retail, customer service, or phone-based sales experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with high-volume outreach and fast-paced work
• Ability to learn quickly and explain product value
• Ability to identify and meet customers' needs and requirements.
• Must be proficient with computers and demonstrate skills in office applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to travel 10% to Trade shows and Conferences
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to inside sales, recruitment advertising, staffing, or HR tech is helpful but not required
• Salesforce experience preferred
• Gong experience a plus
• Experience in performing to KPI and daily cadences'
