- Associate Attorney
Description
Established in 1892, Royston Rayzor maintains an internationally-recognized maritime, commercial litigation, and insurance defense practice. The Firm currently seeks a Texas-licensed associate attorney with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience for its Houston office. Although the Firm has a diverse civil litigation practice, this position will largely focus on the Firm’s maritime practice area. In addition to active involvement in standard litigation activities (e.g., depositions/discovery, hearings, and motion practice), the position will also involve emergency response to casualty incidents, allowing the associate attorney to gain firsthand experience handling a case from inception to conclusion, including substantial investigation activities and administrative proceedings conducted by governmental authorities. This is an action-packed position that offers valuable early case-handling and client interaction experience that is rarely available at other civil litigation firms.
The Firm’s partners and senior attorneys provide a collegial environment that is heavily invested in fostering the professional growth of the Firm’s associate attorneys. Given the benefits of these collaborative efforts, this is an in-person position.
The Firm offers excellent bonuses tied to transparent and objective metrics, as well as great benefits, including health, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plan, and sensible personal time off (PTO) allowances. Salary commensurate with experience.
The candidate should possess strong academic credentials, as well as excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
